Welcome to Scotland Removals. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our removal services and constitute a legally binding agreement between you and us. By engaging our services, you agree to abide by these terms.
1. Service Agreement
Scotland Removals agrees to provide professional removal services as outlined in the service agreement. Our services include packing, transportation, and unpacking of your belongings from the specified location in Scotland to your new destination.
1.1 Scope of Services
- Packing Services: We offer both full and partial packing services, using high-quality materials to ensure the safety of your items.
- Transportation: Our fleet of well-maintained vehicles ensures timely and secure transportation of your belongings.
- Unpacking Services: Upon arrival, we can assist in unpacking and setting up your items at the new location.
2. Booking and Payment
To secure our services, a deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be settled upon completion of the move.
2.1 Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total estimated cost is required to confirm your booking.
2.2 Payment Methods
We accept various payment methods including:
- Bank Transfer
- Credit/Debit Cards
- Cash
All payments must be made in full before the completion of services.
3. Liability and Insurance
While we take utmost care in handling your possessions, Scotland Removals is not liable for any damage or loss unless caused by our negligence.
3.1 Insurance Coverage
We offer comprehensive insurance options to cover the value of your belongings. It is recommended to opt for insurance to safeguard against unforeseen circumstances.
3.2 Claims Procedure
- Notify us immediately in writing in case of any damage or loss.
- Provide detailed descriptions and photographs of the affected items.
- Claims must be submitted within 48 hours of service delivery.
4. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all items are properly packed and labeled. It is also your duty to secure any valuables prior to the commencement of services.
4.1 Packing Requirements
All fragile items should be individually wrapped to prevent damage during transit.
4.2 Access and Permissions
Ensure that the moving team has access to both the pick-up and drop-off locations. Any restrictions or special instructions must be communicated beforehand.
5. Cancellation Policy
In the event of cancellation, the following terms apply:
- Cancellation within 48 hours of booking: 50% of the deposit is refundable.
- Cancellation less than 48 hours before service: The full deposit is non-refundable.
- No-Show: If the customer fails to be present at the agreed time without prior notice, the full deposit is forfeited.
6. Changes to Service
Any modifications to the original service agreement must be made in writing and agreed upon by both parties. Additional charges may apply for changes requested after the booking confirmation.
6.1 Rescheduling
We strive to accommodate rescheduling requests. However, availability is subject to our existing bookings and resources.
6.2 Additional Services
Requests for extra services, such as extended packing or storage, will incur additional fees based on the nature and extent of the service.
7. Force Majeure
Scotland Removals is not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, or governmental restrictions.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
9. Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Any personal information provided will be used solely for the purpose of delivering our services and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
